In The Orange Grove is a 54"x 54" wall hanging. It started off with my enjoyment of wool applique orange peel block pieces. Once I finished the center block, I decided to surround it with things you might find in an orange grove...the farmhouse, sun, flowers, an orange tree complete with swing, the stars at night and of course the welcoming pineapple to come visit the grove. This quilt uses wool and fabrics, including reproduction and artsy. A fun combination for me! The wool applique makes this project come along very quickly. |
